The Federal Institute of Information Access and Data Protection (IFAI) and the consulting firm of Cedric Laurant Consulting have the pleasure to invite you to the Roundtable: Exchange of Ideas and Experiences about privacy and Data Protection, which will bring together Mexican, European and US civil society and non-profit organisations’ representatives.  The event will be hosted by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

The event comes as a follow-up of the first gathering of civil society organisations that took place during the International Conference of Privacy and Data Protection Commissioners on 1st November 2011 in Mexico City.

 

Objectives

  1. Strengthen the relationships between civil society organisations (CSOs) in Mexico, the European Union and the United States around the topic of privacy and data protection
  2. Discuss insights and experiences of US and European CSOs about the most useful strategies to establish a network of Mexican CSOs and individuals that would work on privacy and data protection, and would be connected with their counterparts from the European Union and the United States
  3. Discuss the first steps of the next meeting of civil society at the 34th International Conference of Privacy and Data Protection Commissioners that will take place in Uruguay in October 2012
